For a moment, imagine what is, or should be, going through the mind of the individual responsible for providing public affairs support to the GG.
This person is in Prague with the GG, quite aware that there are a few things happening back in Canada that require her to cut her trip short and return to Canada. It looks like the country will be looking to her to make a very significant decision in the near future; Canada and the international community are looking to the GG for some reassurance.
What kind of support should her public affairs person be providing at this point? Take a look at the interview at the attached link; it's worth reflecting upon: a) whether enough preparation was done before the interview; and/or b) whether this interview should have taken place at all; and/or c) whether a "holding statement" should have been issued in place of the "live" interview.
