Nothing is "off the record"

This is not about politics; this is a learning opportunity.

Take a look at the interview at the attached link. There are a few important lessons here:
  1. Nothing is "off the record" even if you are told that it is;
  2. Prepare properly with a public relations profession before a significant interview to know your key messages/responses to likely questions;
  3. Make sure you understand the question before attempting to answer it.

It's sad that the poor performance became the "news" and anything of merit that Mr. Dion might have said during the interview got sidelined.
